故事舞台设定在迎来创立122周年的私立百花王学园，这是一所财政界大人物子女就读，有传统有地位的名门学校，决定学生阶级高低的就是赌博技巧，获胜者得到地位与名誉，失败者会被剥夺财产和尊严，故事从神秘转校生蛇喰梦子（滨边美波 饰）的出现开始。梦子平时优雅文静，但一旦开始赌博的话，就会成为“狂赌魔女”。她用超乎常人的洞察力、记忆力和交涉力玩弄对手，即使冒极大风险也要一决胜负，最终把他们推下毁灭的深渊。
十年前，帕波（泰勒·席林 Taylor Schilling 饰）大学毕业后结识了一名女毒贩艾丽克斯（劳拉·普莱潘 Laura Prepon 饰），与她成为恋人并随她环游世界，后来在她要求下参加了一次运毒行动。时过境迁，帕波离开了艾丽克斯，过上正常生活。一天，她和未婚夫（贾森·比格斯 Jason Biggs 饰）被警方告知，十年前那桩贩毒案被破获，帕波遭到逮捕。帕波主动来到女子监狱服刑，为期15个月。面对监狱的新环境，初来乍到的帕波感到不知所措，糟糕的是她还不小心得罪了厨房负责人红姨，遭到红姨的报复。不仅如此，她还在监狱里重遇了昔日女友艾丽克斯。
本剧讲述的是大文豪屠格涅夫所著的《猎人笔记》手稿背后隐藏着神秘的藏宝图，这些财宝富可敌国，而这份手稿一直珍藏在法国国家博物馆。这份手稿即将起运前往俄罗斯展出，于是，犯罪团伙想尽办法偷窃手稿，但由于博物馆警戒严密，始终未能得手。中国政府应邀派出了智勇双全的国际刑警卫平（刘灿饰），与俄罗斯探长尼娜以及普斯科维伊联合行动，终于在中国的武当山逮捕了参与偷盗的李虎（雷牧饰）。与此同时，幕后黑手以杂技表演为名，诱骗李虎和卫平的同门师兄李大牛（陈小春饰）取得了手稿，但此时的李大牛发现自己被骗。为了证明自己的清白，正直善良的李大牛在自己的俄罗斯朋友费多尔的帮助下，终于把手稿归还给警察局。然而经鉴定，手稿竟是假的。警方请求李大牛配合查案，李大牛为帮助师弟李虎戴罪立功，同意了当诱饵的计划，良心发现的李虎也决定将功赎罪。于是，在警方的配合下，李大牛和李虎各自执行自己的任务。一场对财富的探寻和争夺之战就此展开。李大牛和李虎无数次地陷入危险之中，卫平、尼娜、普斯科维伊和警方，依靠大智大勇，帮助他们化险为夷。
