丁一只是一个单纯的文艺青年，为了完成一件艺术作品去一个乡下的剧团。剧团由李团长创建。剧团成员有冯远翔、陈褚卫、团长的女儿李月琴，还有几个师弟。大师兄冯远翔很喜欢小师妹李月琴，但是李月琴又和陈褚卫相爱。团长却不同意陈褚卫和李月琴在一起。并逼着李月琴和冯远翔订了亲。李月琴和陈褚卫要私奔，团长很生气出手打了李月琴。李月琴一口气没上来就走了。可谁知李月琴并没有真的咽气，巧合的被陈褚卫给救了。两人决定远走高飞，商量着先把别人吓跑。由于刚去的丁一碍了他们的事，陈褚卫就起了杀心，李月琴劝阻，两人争执过程中，陈褚卫失手杀死了李月琴，随后自杀，并牵扯出了20多年前上一辈人的恩怨情仇以及李月琴和陈褚卫的关系。
