Disney+宣布把《天才小医生DoogieHowser,M.D.》重启,并改变成女主版的《天才女医生DoogieKealoha,M.D.》。这部剧由负责过《老爸老妈的浪漫史HowIMetYourMother》的KourtneyKang主创,讲述16岁混血儿DoogieKealoha在夏威夷担当医生。经常被各美剧提及,NeilPatrickHarris主演的原版FOX剧《天才小医生》播了4季,共97集。NeilPatrickHarris在剧中饰演14岁青少年医生,但在医生的身份外他其实与其他青少年一样得经历感情﹑友谊上的挑战。
