《活佛济公》第三部的主要故事仍然围绕着济公带领广亮、赵斌等人为老百姓排忧解难、点化世人展开，穿插降龙尊者降魔除妖的神话故事，以及济公活佛与地痞恶霸斗智斗勇的生动故事，将更多宣扬真善美、鞭挞假恶丑的故事，以寓教于乐的方式呈献给观众。 全剧共分“天蚕变”、“朱罗记”、“天鹅梦”、“红花告御状”、“木偶奇谭”、“恶狼传说”、“人狐恋”、“胭脂情”等8个单元故事展开。
