CBS早前宣布开发《生活大爆炸》衍生前传剧，現CBS确定命名为《少年谢尔顿 Young Sheldon》，顾名思义就是以Sheldon Cooper 为主角。但该剧不是Sheldon成年版，而是以他9岁时为背景，剧集也会以《马尔柯姆的一家 Malcolm in the Middle》的单镜头家庭喜剧方式制作，讲述Sheldon当年在德州东部的家庭及学校生活。Chuck Lorre与Bill Prady为主创兼执行制片﹑Steve Molaro﹑Todd Spiewak与在《生活大爆炸》饰演Sheldon的Jim Parsons为制作人兼执行制片。在过往剧情中，可得知Sheldon的家人包括哥哥George﹑异卵双胞胎姐妹Missy﹑有宗教信仰的妈妈Mary Cooper，以及酗酒的爸爸George Cooper。另外Sheldon还有外婆（Meemaw）及外公（Pop Pop），外公在Sheldon 5岁时去世。该剧由Jon Favreau执导， Iain Armitage将饰演年轻版的Sheldon Cooper﹑ Zoe Perry饰演其母亲Mary Cooper﹑Lance Barber饰演Sheldon的父亲﹑Raegan Revord及Montana Jordan饰演Sheldon的兄妹（姐？）﹑Annie Potts饰演外婆。

神话故事扣人心弦，警世寓意发人深省！「无双谱」中的谱，解作面谱，剧中所述无只者，即无相同者也。从「易钗」、「陆判」及「追鱼」连串而成的神话故事，反映人物的双重性格，道出面目相同的人未必有相同的心，即使是同一个人也会干出自相矛盾的事。女主角李司棋(6张) 「易钗」——龟精（刘克宣）、鲤鱼精（李司棋）因受太子（张国强）放生之恩，故每当太子有难时，总出手相救。 「陆判」——朱尔旦（陈欣健）学识肤浅，为其妻（姚炜）嫌弃，后得书生张珍（关聪）相助，埋头苦读，终高中状元，其后更得十王殿的陆判（谭炳文）启迪。朱尔旦夫妻二人最后和好如初，共谐连理。
