FX电视台已经续订了《美国恐怖故事》第七季，将于2017年开播，剧集的创造者瑞恩·墨菲与布拉德·法尔查克将再度联手。
Hulu直接预订10集新剧《塔影蜃楼 The Looming Tower》，该剧根据普利策得奖者Lawrence Wright所著一书《塔影蜃楼：基地组织与通住9·11之路 The Looming Tower:Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11》 改篇。该项目由奥斯卡提名编剧Dan Futterman及奥斯卡与艾美得奖者Alex Gibney负责，他们与Lawrence Wright同为执行制片。
《塔影蜃楼》将描述本·拉登及基地组织是如何崛起，幷成为了威胁，以及以争议性的角度，讲述美国方CIA与FBI之间的竞争，无意中助长了9·11悲剧的降临，以及日后的伊拉克战争。（P.S：上年是9·11的15周年）
