本剧讲述的是以农村生活为背景的浪漫喜剧故事，讲述了在村委会主任竞选上，徐春兰通过全民选举成为新的村委会主任，为了尽快改变凤凰峪村面貌，徐春兰开始改善全村医疗卫生条件、开发乡村旅游和药材种植，带领大家朝着共同致富的道路上前进，但落选的老村长于树仁心怀嫉妒，利用王富强等人的里应外合，变着法地给徐春兰设置障碍，企图削弱徐春兰的威信，伺机卷土重来。
