目前来看，第三季的剧情依旧是绝密，从不时发布的预告片中更是找不到任何关于故事的蛛丝马迹。不过，编剧马克·弗罗斯特最新出版的小说巨作《双峰:神秘史》中似乎故意透露了《双峰》故事的大世界观背后很多鲜为人知的神秘故事，更加吊人胃口。据悉，这部名为《双峰：神秘史》的小说中文版也会在2017年出版，值得期待。
