故事发生于某滨海都市，集团董事长罗培石(陈宝国饰)爱上了少女许丽雯，许丽雯以肚里的孩子要挟，打算告诉罗的妻子林寒冰(王姬饰)，逼罗培石离婚，当这段秘密的畸恋行将泄露时，许丽雯却在与罗培石争执中意外坠海身亡。这段婚外情引发了一连串令人难以置信的事件，使罗培石身陷囹圄。
看似拥有完美人生的尹亦可，过着理所当然的35岁生活，无论在公司还是在家里，总能够周全妥帖，如同永不疲惫的神奇女侠一般，照顾着身边每一个人，却唯独忘了温暖自己。直至在便利店一角偶遇儿时经常去家里蹭饭、现在已是一位阳光少年的徐光兮，一抹阳光照进了她的内心。徐光兮留学归国后再遇亦可，儿时的依赖不知不觉变成了难以抑制的心动，但追逐亦可对于光兮而言并不是件容易的事，这意味着承受飞速快进的人生进度和超负荷的现实压力，但因为爱，在漫长岁月中，光兮变得愈发成熟，重新调整好步伐，坚定地走向亦可。两颗悸动的心一点点地靠近，也明白了最好的爱情不是相互牺牲，而是相互吸引，相互尊重，让彼此都能成为更好的人。
本剧讲述主人公冯久旺响应党中央新三农和五个振兴的倡导，在当选了新的苹果村村长以后，排除万难，用自己的幽默、担当一步步的把一个相对贫困只有单一种植技术的苹果村慢慢的建设成为一个远近闻名，多元化种植技术和旅游、电子化经营为一体的现代化的新苹果村。不但让村民脱贫致富同时提高了村民的文化修养，彻底根除了传统农村遗留的不良风气。真正做到了产业振兴，人才振兴和文化振兴。本剧用幽默的手法表现了现代农村新农民的积极向上的正确价值观，用不同寻常的人物塑造改变观众对传统农村、传统农民的印象，真正认识到党中央以及国家对现代农村建设的关心和大力支持。
